Festival Awards: Creamfields leads with six nominations

Creamfields
Creamfields leads this year's Festival Awards nominations, after being named in six categories.

The dance event's nominations include best major festival, best dance event and line-up of the year.
Bestival and Glastonbury, which are also nominated for best major festival, have five nominations each.
Glastonbury headliners Metallica, Kasabian and Arcade Fire are all up for performance of the year but the event missed out on line-up of the year.
Metallica's set at Glastonbury is among the nominees for headline performance of the year
The Somerset festival, which takes place on Worthy Farm, was also nominated for the greener festival award.
The Festival Awards shortlist announcement comes the day after Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis was honoured for his outstanding contribution to live music in the UK at the Music Industry Trusts Award.
The 79-year-old said: "I can't believe that 44 years of semi-controlled chaos has led to me receiving this prestigious award."

Bestival
Bestival, which is organised by DJ Rob da Bank, is up against Creamfields in the best dance event category and has also been named in the best use of technology and best line-up categories with Foals' set at the festival being nominated for headline performance of the year.
Leopallooza, British Summer Time and Download have been named in three categories while Latitude is up for four awards including line-up of the year, which the Suffolk festival won in 2013.

The 1975 and Royal Blood

Royal Blood and The 1975 have both been named in breakthrough act of the year as well as anthem of the year for their tracks Come On Over and Chocolate.
The winners of all 20 categories will be announced at a ceremony at London's Roundhouse on 1 December, with the UK Festival Conference taking place during the day.
Public votes will decide the winner of 13 of the categories with a panel of industry experts choosing which event goes home with the remaining seven awards.
